2007 State Fair!

We had a great time at the state fair on Saturday. We took the kids with Lin, Keith, Molly, J.D. and our friends Tony, Tracy and their 4 kids. It was about 105 degrees that day, but we managed to have a blast, lots of ice cream and other yummy treats to keep us cool. Colin loved spending the day with his buddy Nathan (above) and his cousin J.D. They really enjoyed the animals at the petting zoo and saw a really awesome Longhorn cow. This year he was finally tall enough to ride alone on the kiddie rides. He had the best time on the bumper cars and the super slide. Watching him made Max and I realize how big he is getting. He is always sure to remind us he is a big boy now. The babies did amazingly well. They had lots of cool misting stations to stand under, the babies seemed to enjoy that. I got an awesome new hammock swing (as a birthday gift from Lin and Keith) that Max hung in the backyard for me. It is so relaxing, what a treat. All in all just a great day. We'll do it again next year. I am glad September is here, I always look forward to the Fall season. There is always lots to do. This will be a fun and busy month for us. Colin is joining a Tiny Tots Flag Football Team that meet on Saturdays for the next month or so. It is probably more of a clinic and will enhance his motor skills and social interaction with his peers. Max is also going to try and take him to Lake Solano's annual Fishing Derby and then we like to go to Kids Fest at our local park. So, we have a lot to look forward to. I'll post more as events unfold.
