Car Painting

Colin had a great time last week painting with cars. He loves the movies Cars and has most all of them at this point and because his daddy works on cars for a living Colin wants to be just like him. He is always pretending to fix them with his tools or props them up on baskets to pretend they are on a lift and he is making repairs. Like father, like son. So, I was trying to think of something different we could do with cars. I didn't want to use his good ones so we took a little trip to the dollar store for some inexpensive cars brought them home, put poster paint in pie pans and then made car tracks. He loved it. When I taught preschool this was always one painting activity all the kids loved, boys and girls. I think Colin went through about 6 pieces of paper that day. Now he wants to know what else we can paint with besides brushes. So, I will have to put on my thinking cap and look around. So, if you have little ones give this a try and they're sure to have fun!
