Well I hope every one's New Year was of to a big bang, ours was. We hosted a fun New Years Party with several of our friends and their children. Max and his friends went dirt bike riding during the day and then got home in time to clean up, eat, drink, watch football, and play poker. The kids ran a muck and stayed up way to late with fire crackers and champagne at midnight. Simple and so much fun. I'm not one to usually make any new years resolutions, however I've decided to try and make more time for myself (not a lot, just part of my day that's for me). I've been reading a really good book called Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. It talks a lot about how easy it is to loose yourself in our daily routines, children, husbands, chores, errands, etc.. and we put our needs at the bottom of the list. So, after the kids go to bed and Max and I have had our time to wind down, I make a cup of tea, snuggle into bed with my book and Meeko (our dog). It's nothing extravegant, but it's quiet and peaceful. Just what I need at the end of my day. I included some additional pictures I found from Christmas. My dad got Colin this Cars tent for Christmas, so in piled Papa Jim, daddy, Ava, Colin and Cousin Donald. Aunt Molly and Uncle Mark scored when they got Colin a 24 piece Cars puzzle (which by the way after Granny Lin showed him what to do he has mastered completing it all his own). J.D. was Santa's helper passing out everyone's gifts. I'll post more later as 2008 will no doubt be a busy year with many new projects in store.
