Colin Started Preschool!

September 3, 2008
PEP
Colin started his first day of preschool last Wednesday at a local Presbyterian Church. He loves it. He has three teachers. Ms. Renee (below), Ms. Karin and Ms. Cindy. He goes MWF afternoon. His first day was harder on me than him. He had no tears, just walked right in, turned around so I could take his picture, said "I Love You Mommy!" and then disappeared around the corner to the block area. He came home very excited that he made a new friend, Spencer.

The Thursday before school started we attended an orientation. We dropped the twins off at my grandma's so the morning would be special to Colin. Colin's Papa Jim joined us in the morning for orientation and then treated us all to lunch for my birthday.
Here is Colin digging in the sand of his school's playground.

This playground has to be the most beautiful I've ever seen. Hats off to the church and teachers. Max and I volunteered the week prior for clean-up day. Hauled in new bark, sand, cleaned furniture, and painted picnic tables. I really believe this will give a loving and nurturing place to grow and try new things. What a great way to get ready for Kindergarten. We'll keep you posted on all the new and exciting adventures as his school year unfolds.
