Happy Easter!

The pictures are in reverse. Oops! We took the kids camping for Easter and had the best time. We left Friday and came home Sunday. We got home early enough to join my family at my Aunt and Uncles house out in the country. The next three photos are of Ava, Colin and Luke Easter Egg hunting at the Schrader's. They collected quit the loot.

The weather was beautiful for our camping trip. A little breeze, but not to bad. When we woke up Saturday, the kids got dressed, grabbed a bite to eat and we headed over to the campgrounds general store where they had an Easter Egg hunt for all the kids (divided into age groups...that was nice).

We even got a visit from the Easter Bunny! Luke and Ava not so into the bunny. They cried and just wanted to "go home" as Ava so politely announced. Colin would only take a picture if I stood there with him. He still has the "I'll look, but I'm not getting to close" policy. Funny kids!

We headed back to the trailer and put away all their goodies and then took a walk down to the river. Meeko dabbled in the water a little, which totally cought Max and I by surprise. The kids did what kids do and proceeded to throw every rock known to man in the water... the bigger the better. They were taking notes from daddy (the biggest kid of all).

Back to the trailer for some lunch and a little rest. Max and the kids took a long nap, while I enjoyed the sun, fresh air and the quit. That was nice. After our rest, Colin wanted Max to take off his training wheels. Max wasn't too sure. I said, "let him try, he's gotta learn eventually." And boy-o-boy did he surprise his daddy. Max gave him a few pointers, gave him one big push and off he went. For the rest of the weekend, "Hey honey, were's Colin?"....ahhh, there he goes, and goes and goes and goes, until it's dark and time to eat. He was proud as pie and so were we. Our little boy is growing. I always get a little lump in my throat when the kids pass another milestone. You couldn't be happier, but you wish they wouldn't grow up so fast.
This place was beautiful. There were ducks and geese, wide open fields full of daisies. More room than you could imagine to ride bikes and play ball. We want to go back during the summer months so we can enjoy the river a little more.
We hope everyone's Easter was as special and wonderful as ours. Great memories I hope our children will always remember and treasure. I know we will.

SO Cute and so fun! I agree that they grow up way too fast. I wish we could just bottle up every happy moment to save for later. We'll definitely need them during the teenage years. Sounds like you guys had a wonderful time. Thanks for sharing all the great pics. They are DARLING! Happy Easter Kristin!
