Reading is a Hoot!

Our fall fundraiser for PEP is coming up next week and I have been working hard getting the class gift basket ready for the raffle. I am still waiting for a few more items but I had to have it ready for display anyway.
The class theme was reading corner. I had to take it a step further and some fun with it. So, after a little searching at Michael's I came up with Reading is a Hoot? I love owls anyway, so I thought it would be fun. I embellished a canvas bag with our theme and a rhinestone owl, sooo cute.

With a natural basket filled with excelsior in browns and cremes. I added all the books, CD's and book bag. Wrapped it up with amber cellophane, owl ribbon and a clip on faux owl for an extra touch.
Now it's off to the market to shop for the ingredients to make 6 pounds of spaghetti sauce for the fundraiser next week. That will be my project all day Saturday, cook and let it simmer all day. I went and got fresh oregano, basil, thyme and rosemary from my moms garden. Fresh herbs taste so much better than dried. Hopefully everyone will like it.
