Winter Veggies

My mom and I shopped last week at Morning Side Herb Farm at their Fall sale and got a great selection of winter veggies for the garden. I inherited her veggies as her new puppy, Tucker (a Golden Retriever) enjoys digging and eating. So, I planted hers with mine and we'll share the produce.
Four barrels with three varieties of lettuce and Boc-choi.

Three different varieties of Onions.

Broccoli and Cauliflower

Snap Peas

I left our tomato plant because it is still kicking out ripe cherry tomatoes. It is starting to turn a little brown, so I imagine we're at the end here in a week or so. Not so much sunshine anymore. I'll have to find another winter veggie to plant in it's place.
I am hoping that the area on the side yard surrounding my veggie barrels will be covered in rock and stepping stones here soon. I really don't want another winter of muddy kids and dogs. Working in the garden would be so much cleaner. I'll just have to keep working on my hubby to git-r-done.

I wish I had that many barrels. My barrels are at their end as well. No longer producing. But I am not planning on planting winter produce. Too lazy. Anyhow....they look really good. I am quite surprised that you planted Boc Choi. I love that. Great that the kids are getting involved as well. Hopefully, the rock fairy will come to make your muddy nightmare come to an end. I am hoping he visits me too. It is much easier to blow all the leaves when they are on pea gravel or stone rather than mulch. We'll see. Love you and keep up the good work.
