I took all the kids to Children's Day at Festival of the Trees. It is a fundraiser for the Opportunity House. People and or local businesses donate fully decorated trees that you can bid on. This year they raised $150,000.00 for the women's shelter. It is such a great program.
Several preschools come out (including PEP, where our kids go) and donate their time and an activity for the kids in our community to come out and enjoy.
After we finished our activities we headed in to check out all the trees. Oh, my are they amazing and such great ideas for your holiday decorating. I loved this little tree with the Giants theme. It was already taken. I thought it would of been a fun idea for the boys room. I'm thinking I can recreate something similar for next year.
These were a couple of the bigger, fancier trees at the event. One sold for $10,000.00...Wow! you get the tree and everything under it. The decoraters then come to your house and set it up.
