For Christmas we got each of the boys a BB Gun. Luke has the Buck and Colin has the Red Rider.
Max created a target for the boys to aim at. He bought a package of paper targets and then attached them to a box stuffed with a ton of excess wrapping paper and who knows what else.
They only use it with dad around and have gotten very specific instructions on how to hold it properly and what to aim at. Great emphasis was put on not pointing at people or animals of any kind, they aren't hunting yet. I told them I didn't want to see them shooting at little birdies in the trees. It was freezing outside, but they stayed out there until their little fingers were frozen and they couldn't feel them anymore.
Ava and I just watched through the kitchen window inside where it was nice and warm. We baked chocolate chip cookies. So the boys were very pleased when they came inside to warm cookies and milk. Yummo!
