Valentine Parties

The kiddos all had their Valentine's parties this week at school. Fun was had by all!
I love that they enjoyed making a special Valentine for their friends and teachers. They each have a creative spirit...I love it!
Luke and Ava dressed and ready for their first school Valentine's Party!

They came home with a goodie bag they decorated themselves filled with special treats from their friends.

They also made Valentine headbands and had their face painted.

I was able to volunteer in Colin's class today for his party. I always marvel at how excellent his teacher is. Their are 30 kids and they are so respectful and kind...a truly great group. She had several stations set up to make Valentine necklaces, paper airplanes, Valentine Bingo, Valentine Sweethearts Math, Valentine word jumble and a story table. After stations the children enjoyed a yummy buffet of fruit kabobs, mini donuts, gogurt and juice. The children each delivered their Valentine's as they brought them in through out the week. Colin decided that a Valentine's party was a special enough event to dress up in shirt with red tie and vest. He received several comments on how nice he looked and that he did. He came home with a fun collection of cards and yummies from his friends and teachers. I just love Valentine's Day! We should treat each other with love and kindness everyday, but it's special to have one day to be extra creative, thoughtful, loving and giving.
Have a Happy Valentine's Day
and do something special for the people you love!
