My kids all chose to make Valentine's gifts for their class parties this year.
So, Ava's were part one of the Valentine project.
"Friendly Flowers"
I pre-cut 96 small hearts (from card stock) and punched holes at the bottom of each, then cut out 32 leaves (also from cardstock).
She helped bend each heart in the middle to make a crease and then slid the "Dum-Dum's" through the holes securing the back with tape and then taping on a leaf with "From: Ava."
We made 32 Valentine's for her friends. We piled them into a flower flannel bucket and they look like a lovely pink and purple bouquet. She was pleased when we finished and can't wait for their school party this week.
Stay tuned for part 2 of the Valentine's project. It will detail what the boys are up to (I'll give you a hint...think outerspace) and a simple teachers gift.
I got these fun project ideas from Disney's Family Fun website.
