Our school district is on Spring Break for the next two weeks. So keeping the kids busy, entertained and happy is my goal. I had Wyatt today along with Madeline and our kids. Colin spent the morning with Papa Jim working on the tractors at Aunt Debi's house while Luke and Ava were at preschool. After we picked them up we met up with Colin and my dad.
All the kids enjoyed climbing on the tractors pretending to drive and be farmers.
After a little running around we ate a sack lunch I packed for everyone on the front porch.
They enjoyed setting up a game of Croquet
and collecting eggs from the chicken coop.
This is always entertaining and exciting. Today more so, because oops two of the chickens got out.
That was it's own adventure for Madeline and Colin to catch them. Rosie and Ricky hid inside the bushes where I couldn't reach. In crawled Madeline and Colin to the rescue.
They were successfully captured and returned to their beloved red coop.
They weren't done yet! There was great fun to be had playing hide and seek in the tall tall grass and doing summer salts down the hillside.
The smiles and laughter were abundant.
A peaceful, shady spot under the tree and in the grass was Ava's favorite.
Madeline, Colin, Ava, Luke, and Wyatt.
The are not just family, but good friends.
They love each other and always have a great time together.
