It felt as if Mother's Day lasted for days. So many precious moments were shared and memories made. Although a bit out of order here are some bits and pieces of my long Mother's Day weekend.
Friday the twins and I enjoyed a lovely and special afternoon with my mom. We went to Morning Sun Herb farm and picked out some veggies for our garden and enjoyed a leisurely walk through all the gardens with Shamrock. We loved the tea garden the most. I have a plan to make these tea cup stakes in our garden later.
They have some really cool architectural sculptures that I love.
The kids enjoy taking wagon rides.
After our morning we had a great lunch downtown at Los Rios, a fabulous local restaurant.

On Mother's Day I was woken up by the boys as they had gotten up early and all alone they made me breakfast in bed. Waffles, fresh fruit and O.J.!! Wow! It was so heartfelt and sweet. I couldn't believe they did it on their own. Pretty special. The tray was even arranged with cards they had made.
After a leisurely morning and having my car detailed by my hubby we headed to my grandparents house where the men folk prepared dinner and dessert.
I was served champagne as I arrived. The "Three Stooges" as they lovingly and jokingly were called, worked hard BBQ'ing rib eye, with corn on the cob, green salad, french bread and baked beans.
Then for dessert, strawberry shortcake and molten chocolate cakes. Yummy!!
Tea cups and saucers the twins painted, had tags that said "Plant me" on them. I will use them to make the garden stakes we saw at the herb garden.
A beautiful painting from Colin with the sweetest letter. It melted my heart and made me cry.
On Thursday, PEP school had Muffins with Mom. The room was decorated like the Mad Hatters tea party. It was so much fun. The kids all made muffins and coffee and juice were served.
My mom was also able to join us, which made the morning perfect.
Then on Friday, Colin's school had a Mornings with mom (picture at top of page) where muffins, juice and coffee were served. I love the schools we are in. Warm and inviting, always doing things to welcome the families. It was a great weekend. I couldn't ask for a better family.
