Season's Greetings!

It's hard to believe we're already into December. We have been busy ever since Thanksgiving. The kids are all over the colds and ear infections, thank goodness. That was no walk in the park. Unfortunately, Max now has it. Colin has enjoyed all the decorating and getting ready for Santa. We took the kids downtown for the Christmas Tree lighting and to see Santa. It was beautiful. There were probably about 12,000 people huddled up. My grandparents are going back east for Christmas so they treated our family to Christmas in the Park at Six Flags last weekend. What great fun! They had the largest tree in the world (literally) from Oregon and what a site that was with all the lights. Colin more than enjoyed Thomas the Train Town, made a cookie with Mrs. Claus and then was first in line to sit with Santa. He wasn't willing to go it alone, so it ended up becoming a family picture. Turned out nice and will probably use for Christmas cards (which I'm behind on at this point.) We're headed out today to get the ingredients we need to make a gingerbread house. I have a porcelain one in my kitchen and Colin has seen pictures of the kits you can buy. So, we'll give it try. I haven't made a gingerbread house since I was in elementary school. These are the moments I love about Christmas. Hopefully, Max is felling well by Saturday. My mom was going to watch the kids so we could sneak out and do some shopping. There aren't any really great toy stores in our area anymore, so we might head to the city and make an evening of it.
