Quick update

I'll post pictures of Luke and Ava's birthday when I am not having problems downloading. Anyway, the party was a huge success with about 5o adults and children in attendance. They both received oodles of cute summer clothes, so needless to say they are set for warm weather. We are blessed with such wonderful family and friends. The following week we also had Easter at our house and the kids really enjoyed the Easter egg hunt. Unfortunately, during the week both Luke and Ava came down with ear infections and a cold, then it was Colin, Max and my turn. So, hopefully we're on the tail end of it and recovering. Monday I took the twins to the pediatrician for their one year well child exam to find out Ava is 19 lbs. 9 oz. and Luke is 23 lbs. 4 oz. We did receive a little bad news at the appointment. Luke has an Inguinal Hernia, so we will take him to a pediatric surgeon in the city on Friday for a consult and then he will most likely have to undergo some sort of surgery. Unsettling to say the least. We never want our little ones to be in discomfort. It sounds like a simple procedure and we'll be in and out in one day. I have two interviews with two more potential families coming up this week and next. So, I am excited about having more children Colin's age. One of the parents I used to work with which is a comfortable feeling. I enjoy knowing the families that are in my care. I'll try posting all the wonderful party and Easter pictures later.
