Bunny Alert!!!

EXCITED! Doesn't quit describe the energy of the kids regarding our new little friend.  As I have shared before, Colin has begun 4-H.  His chosen project is Rabbits.  My friend Tracy's daughter, Madison is also in 4-H and was showing her bunny this weekend at a show in Stockton.
With our list of what we wanted, she was nice enough to use her experience and love of bunnies to find us the perfect Holland Lop.  He is white with brown and black coloring, which is referred to as Broken Torque.  He is so incredibly sweet which is why we chose this breed.  They are easy to handle and pretty melo.  They brought us back the bunny, with a new little travel cage and water bottle and resting mats for the hut.  This will protect their pads.
Years ago my Aunt had bunnies, so her Bunny Hut was in the barn just screaming to be cleaned up and welcome a new hut owner.
A visit to the Ranch store for Pellets, Timothy Hay and shavings, we were all set for our new family member.
After Colin giving it a lot of thought the bunny is now called Butterscotch and is a  pedigree rabbit that Colin can show.  His first rabbit meeting is October 1st and he will show him later that month at a harvest festival here in town with his fellow 4-H'ers.
