Get-a-long-gang

Now that Luke and Ava are mobile, Colin is starting to enjoy their company. Not all the time might I add, but he will say he loves his baby brother and his baby sister. On Saturday, Max and I spent the day getting caught up on those fun chores like washing cars, laundry, yard work...you know the fun stuff. I had the babies playing in the family room until I cought Ava following her big brother to his room and then Luke wasn't far behind. This is what I walked in on. It made my heart melt to watch all my kids playing in one room. Colin was so pleased, he said "they love my room mom, it's fun in here." Then Sunday night Luke figured out how to get up and down the one little step we have in the whole house. So, Colin decided it would be a great place to play Cars and Luke joined right in on the fun. I wish more than anything they all grow up to be close and good friends. A mother can only hope.
"Sibling relationships-80% of Americans have at least one-outlast marriages, survive the death of parents, resurface after quarrels that would sink any friendship. They flourish in a thousand incarnations of closeness and distance, warmth, loyalty and distrust."
~Erica E. Goode "The Secret World of Siblings"
