Our 4th Anniversary
Last week was our 4th Wedding Anniversary, it's hard to believe. We have so many blessings to celebrate, three amazing children, a beautiful home, and the most wonderful family and friends. My husband took on a weekend getaway to South Lake Tahoe. The resort we stayed at was right on the lake, our room had a small little kitchen and a cozy fireplace. We left Friday night and came back on Sunday. We indulged in some fun shopping. The gambling, well that didn't go so well. On Saturday night, we had dinner at a lovely restaurant at the top of Harrah's. It overlooked the lake and mountain, the food was out of this world and such a special moment. We snuggled in for the evening with a movie and popcorn. Sometimes, it's the quiet little moments that matter the most. The weather was beautiful. It didn't rain until Saturday night, which resulted in no snow where we were, but a few miles away there was just a dusting of snow on the ground and then a good 4-5 inches by the time we go to the border. On our way home Sunday, we stopped off at Apple Hill and indulged in an apple pie. This weekend would not have been possible if it weren't for my mom and Jeff who watched the kids Friday night, my mother in-law, Lin who stayed with the babies Saturday night and then my dad and Lupe who took Colin for the weekend. So, thanks to you all. Our weekend was much needed and extremely enjoyable. It reminded Max and I how important it is to take time for yourselves. It's great to get a way if you can.
