Happy 4th Birthday Colin!

Happy 4th Birthday Colin!
We had a great day on Saturday. Many of Colin's friends and family came to his Pirate Party and helped celebrate the big event. I always find it hard to get all the pictures I want. I'd like to think I can be at two places at once, but it doesn't work out that way. I was able to get the gist of it I hope.
Here is my dad with all three grand kids.
Luke and his cousin Carson sharing (as much as a 1 year old and 2 year old can) a plate of chips.
The kids had great time with the Treasure Chest Pinata. They all had one or two tries and then

and then we unleashed the big guns. Colin's cousin Reid (who's 5) finally broke it open.

All the kids even a few adults scrambled to get the loot. I had little paper treasure chest boxes filled with eye patches, jewels, tatoos, and gold coins for each child.
Colin opened many wonderful gifts from everyone. He is one lucky and very loved little boy.
Max and I got him a new fishing pole, 49'ers hat and a new pair of Addidas (or as Colin say's "Antennas") along with lots of other new toys and school clothes.

The finishing touch for the party was Captain Colin's Birthday Cake.

Max and I both made him a Pirate Ship cake. I did the baking, made the sails, got all the accessories and my talented husband resurrected this fine master piece. After he frosted the cake he added Rolo candies with candles stuck in them for the cannons, an Oreo cookie was the steering wheel and little Pirate finger puppets finished it off. It was a great success and most of all Captain Colin was a very happy little pirate.
