Happy Halloween Campers!

(Lily: 80's girl, Marcus: Joe Dirt & Colin: Fire Man)

We took the kids camping this past weekend to 49'er. What a great experience. We went with some friends and there family. We got there Friday afternoon and stayed through Sunday. Saturday was a packed day of continual activities. Most all of the campers decorated their sites for a fun filled evening of Trick or Treat. We brought all of our pumpkins and carved them in the afternoon. Hard to believe the weather was warm enough to spend the early part of day at the pool.
(Ava: our little kitty cat!)

(Luke: Red the Fire Engine and Ava, Check out the tail..) (Luke: Which Way did he go? Looking for his partner, Colin the Fire Fighter.)
At first Luke and Ava were not to keen on dressing up. But boy did they get the hang of things real fast. There were a ton of children and parents. The campground was full. About 300 campers and it seemed most all had children. We had a huge scare at the end of our evening. We were headed back to the trailer and Colin kept walking when we turned off. It was so dark, by the time we realized he was not with us and we started looking seemed forever before Max found him. We were shouting his name and everyone there kept telling us which way he went. We were so grateful to the adult that stayed with him until Max found him. That was a scare I never want to repeat. We won't be winning any parenting awards for that experience. Always keep your eye, don't look away or assume there with someone for a second. I hugged and kissed on him about a thousand times that night. We settled in for a great dinner, made hot chocolate for the kids, had apple pie and ice cream by the camp fire. We already have our reservations for next year, where we'll be sure to have many more decorations and candy.

Looks like you had fun (despite Colin going off on an adventure). Hopefully next year if Craig is deployed the girls and I will be with you. Wouldn't that be fun? Love you!
