New Back Fence!

We'll it's finally done and it couldn't be more perfect. This has been a project that has been a long time coming. Max first drew a sketch of the fence to scale so he could calculate exactly what and how much to buy. He is extremely organized. We bought the fence boards and materials about five days before the build so the boards could dry out a bit. On Saturday, he got up early to rent a jack hammer just in case they would need it. When he got home he set up the back patio with all the tools, saws, boards, you name it. It looked like an assembly line. Our friends Tony, Jeff and Bo came over to help. We couldn't have done it with out them. My grandpa stopped by to make sure the guys needed an extra hand, but they had it under control. Tony and Bo brought their kids, so my mom and I had 6 children inside to take care of. My mom also was a huge life saver. She returned the cement we had to buy a quick set brand, bought groceries for lunch and returned the jack hammer (they barely used). It was quit the team effort and went very smoothly. It's not totally done. In the next month or two we are going to add more fence boards to our side to give it a more finished look, also an additional sound barrier. Max is also putting insulation between the fence boards to absorb the noise. We have a very busy street behind our house and are looking for the best way possible to cut down the noise. So far you can hear a big difference. Lastly, we will paint out the brick pillars. I think black, but I'm not sure yet. This is the first time Max has taken on a project like this on his own. I couldn't be more proud, it looks amazing. My husband rocks!
