Train Town

We had quit a rainy weekend, but we tried not to let it put a damper on our Valentine's Day and President's Day weekend. We woke up Saturday morning and made the kids a Valentine's Day Breakfast, complete with heart shaped french toast, fresh fruit, Valentine cups, mats and other fun things. Topped off with a little valentine gift for each. I love this day. It's just so fun to do a little something extra to say and show someone how much they mean. For us, a day spent with the family filled with love. We then decided to take advantage of a break in the rain. We loaded the kids up in the van and surprised them with a trip to Train Town. A little chilly, but so much fun and so worth it. After we took the kids out to lunch and then went a visited Max's grandma (GG) and parents.

The rain never let up on Sunday and that did keep us indoors. We just kept busy with lots of games, art, (I'll post pictures of that experience...to cute) and a much needed nap. Surprisingly Max had Monday off, so we managed to have a marathon shopping day, Costco and Safeway. Max doesn't usually go with me, so this experience with all three kids wore him out ( he's asleep as we speak). It took me awhile to get everything put away and organized, so Max took Colin for a bike ride around the neighborhood and to the park. When I was done I took the twins out so they could putt around on their tricycles. So all is quiet right now (which doesn't happen very often around here) and I'm going to get ready to start dinner.
