I was bit by the decorating bug! It started this last weekend. I got on a cleaning jag and have really wanted to paint the kid/guest bath. I had to find a color that would coordinate with the existing aqua colored tub, toilet and sink. I found this shower curtain a long time ago and loved all the colors. For awhile now I had been thinking of taking the color from the top of the curtain and paint the walls. Hoping it would all tie together. Well, I finally got the nerve and just did it. The color is called 'Water Current.' I love it! It really brightens up the space. The walls were just white before. It gives the bathroom a Caribbean, beach feel. I'd like to find some art for the walls. The last and next step is to freshen up the white grout on the floor and around the sink. It's getting old and cracked. Not this weekend, but maybe next.

I painted Ava's room back in December and knew that I wasn't finished yet. She has the sweetest butterfly sheets her Granny Lin bought her for Christmas, so I took that theme and ran with it. I love butterflies anyway and so does Ava. I was at Target the other day, looking for art for the bathroom when I ran across these tubes, labeled Art-A-Peel. They were vinyl translucent butterflies that would be a temporary decoration for her walls.

So, she helped me peel them off the roll and we placed them around the room. This was a great activity as she was feverish today and under the weather.

She can now lay in bed under her canopy in her butterfly garden.

I just repositioned her name letters on a different wall and touched up the paint. It turned out cute. Now I just need to find some window treatments. She has blinds, but it still gets a lot of light.

Krissy,
OK...so the bathroom is awesome. You really made everything work together and it looks so cohesive now. You know me....I love the beach and that is what it reminds me of.
Ava's room is so cute. I love her bed and all the details. I bet she is tickeled by her big girl room.
Love-
Kimmy
