It is finally starting to feel more like Fall around here. At least we're out of the hundred degree weather. It was a crisp, blustery fall morning the other day, so we headed out for a lovely little walk around the neighborhood. I ordered the coolest colorful rope with little handles. Each child has their own color to grab onto for when we go for walks and take Colin to school. For now we just use one of my scarves. They like this so much better than holding hands. I think it gives them more independence. They actually listen a lot better. Anyway, I gave each child a little ziploc baggy to collect any fall treasure they might find.

The end result is that we glue all our Autumn treasures on construction paper and make collages. This was Colin's end product.

Ava's masterpiece.

Luke's masterpiece.

and last but not least, Jacob's design.

I always love how they turn out. Beautiful colors of yellow, orange, red and brown. This is a great activity to do with your kids. Plus the exercise is great. We talked about the changes in the weather. What it feels like, looks and smells like. We came home and wrote down their words to describe the season. It was a fun morning. I'll do this a lot through out the year.
