Hugs and Kisses Banner

I found this project on one of my favorite blogs and just had to make it. All you need is foam core board, decorative paper, ribbon, spray adhesive and an exacto knife. Sketch out or trace the hearts, X's and O's on the foam board and then cut out using the exacto knife. Make sure your cutting on a mat or additional piece of cardboard so you don't damage your surface. After your done cutting use the spray adhesive on your image and the paper, set aside to dry. Then use the exacto knife to cut the paper. With a sharp tool like an ice pick, poke holes at the top of each image and string with your ribbon.

This is the end result. I love it! I hung it on my mantle. It adds a sweet and fun Valentines Day decoration to any room for under $10.00.

After Valentines Day it will fold up nicely and come out again next year. This same idea could be used for many other holiday banners. Shamrocks for St. Patrick's Day, Eggs and Bunnies for Easter, Stars in Red, White and Blue for Independence Day. Oh, I could go on and on. I might just do it.
Give it a try and have fun, I did!
