After Sierra arrived, they put on their smocks and did shaving cream art. MESSY!!! but very clean. A great sensory activity. We hosed off in the bath tub.
They all helped me set the table for lunch. Valentine themed plates and cups, tin mailboxes filled with Valentine goodies and a pink table cloth. Simple and extremely affordable. Most items from the dollar bins at Target. A great place to find inexpensive chachkies to make a holiday extra special. It made a big impression on the kids.
Then we got shoes and coats on and picked up a heart shaped pizza at Papa Murphy's for a special lunch surprise. We picked up Colin from school and headed home to bake our pizza.
After eating lunch each of the kids decorated their own cookie with white frosting and pink and red sugar sprinkles.

We exchanged Valentines, cleaned up and headed off for a nap. I could of used one to. Keeping them busy keeps them out of trouble, but it takes a lot of work and organization. It's well worth at the end of a day. It just makes for one tired mama. I'm ready for bed and it's only 5:30.
More Valentine surprises to come!
