Loma Vista Farms

Colin had his first field trip at the beginning of this month. He was so excited. I was able to get to the time and help chaperon the trip to Loma Vista Farms. What a fun place. Lots of animals to see and touch, huge vegetable gardens that gave us inspiration for our own, a green house and in the learning center was Moozy the cow. She was a robotic cow the moved and talked to the children about spreading kindness. Goats, ponies, cows, rabbits, roosters, chicks, peafowl, geese, ducks, pigs...you name it, I think we saw it and touched it and smelled like it when we got home. Each parent had 4 kids...I had 4 boys (lordy me) and then we matched up with one other group of four.

The kids had a list of items to see, feel and experience. We answered all our questions as we sat down to a picnic lunch. We had a lovely day at the farm and Colin loved taking his first school bus ride.
