Easter 2010

We spent Easter weekend camping at 49'er village. It was cold and rainy, but it didn't damper our festivities. When it was raining we just hunkered down with movies, games, popcorn and hot cocoa. Saturday the campground had a huge egg hunt for the kids and set the recreation hall up with a ton of games and art projects. That kept us busy for the first half of our day. Luke was found the egg with the golden prize, a big Easter basket filled with all sorts of goodies. "I'm a winner," he would say to everyone that congratulated him. He cracks me up!

We spent the late afternoon decorating eggs, riding bikes, feeding the ducks and finding their nests of eggs and visiting the stampeded of cows in the pasture behind our campsite. It really is pretty spot.

I got up Sunday morning to walk the dog and set out all the eggs we decorated and I filled the week before to surprise the kids. They woke up, got dressed and headed out for breakfast and were thrilled to see all the goodies the Easter Bunny left behind, he so generously left them each a little gift. What a nice bunny!
