These are the same rocking horses I remember as a little girl. Experiences are coming full circle, it's fun to be apart of.
After a great evening at the park we headed over to my mom's house for dinner. However, we had quit the accident that put our fun times to a screeching halt. Our mini van has automatic passenger doors to open and close with a click of a button. The door got jammed and Luke's hand was resting on the door jam as it began to close. Needless to say a horrified and screeching mother was trying to stop the door from closing on his hand, but it was too late. Luke's hand was crushed in the door. It looked bad at first, but wasn't swelling or turning black and blue. Until the next morning when it looked like a purple baseball and he was in a lot of pain. We immediately went to Kaiser for an exam and x-rays. He broke his thumb. It is pretty bad. They put a soft splint on it until next Tuesday because the swelling was so bad. He'll get a hard cast when we go back. He was so "nervous" (his words) at the doctor, but a real trooper. The hard part now is keeping him from using it. He broke his left hand and he is left handed. Luke was signed up for t-ball, but we had to cancel for now. I felt so bad, he was really enjoying himself.
