I am still adding more layers to our fireplace mantel. I started off with a sunflower garland then added candlesticks with pumpkins on top for some height, little clip on birds and a couple owls.
In the middle I made several little cloth pumpkins. They were super easy and fun. I put down a piece of fabric about 18 x 21 then layered a couple pieces of tissue paper and set a T.P roll in the middle. Worked my way around and tucked the material in the center. Once finished push down really hard and the t.p tube will flatten and the roll will take a more oblong shape. I found a skinny branch that I cut to about 6-7 inches long stuck it down the middle and tied a piece of twine or ribbon to it. Voila! a little pumpkin. I created some framed art for the season, reminiscent of subway art. Using Wordle.net I created a collage of Autumn words and framed in black frame I painted out in satin black. Then I added one more using Halloween words.
The pumpkins and Wordle art were fun projects for the kids and I.

Watch out Martha. I love it all. Oh....and by the way I found Ali's pumpkins today. I started to cry when I saw them. Thanks your reassurance. Love you!
