Breathe and relax

OR
Clean house!
Ever since we got home late Sunday night from our camping trip, my brain switched over from relaxation, fun and no worries to REALITY!
Tons of laundry and cleaning the trailer (knowing we won't use it for several months), paying bills, parent teacher conferences and my pending doctor appointment next Monday. The closer it gets the more nervous I become. So much so I can't even begin to think about Thanksgiving, which is my favorite holiday. I love everything about it! Our families, creating memories, yummy smells of turkey and stuffing, apple and pumpkin pie, laughter, games and football, roaring fires and a chill in the air. I am so worried about the spinal tap and what if I don't feel well. Will it put a damper on the holiday festivities? I hope not. I spent the day worrying about all the above and then some. My emotions were at an all time high. Colin in particular is having more questions about why I go to the doctor so much. I believe in answering honestly, but also in a way that won't scare him. He told me today "don't worry mom, I'll take care of you" oh, how I love that boy, such a great heart.
So, Breathe and relax or Clean House?
CLEAN HOUSE!!
I am going room by room until Sunday, purging old clothes and toys, cleaning drawers and closets, washing windows and blinds, dusting, changing sheets and vacuuming. If I don't stay busy, my mind will get the best of me and so will all my worries. It's in my nature to worry. I worry about people and things I can't control. I worry that I'll let people down with the decisions I make and now my biggest worry, how will having MS and the treatments effect our lives. It is such a huge unknown that I have little control over and I can't stand it. So, eat healthy, exercise, take my vitamins, get good sleep, relax when needed, learn to say no when needed, and eliminate stressful situations when possible.
Live in the moment, love my family and friends with all that I am and have FUN!
That will be my new mantra.

Let's have a come to Jesus moment. First of all, you have to take care of yourself. MS and stress do not mix. That tid but of info needs to be passed to all the family and friends. So if that means avoiding situations and people then that is necessary. You have your family to help pick up the pieces and you should not carry the wait of the world on your shoulders. If I was there you know I would be helping. If people can't get it then you need to really eliminate them from the equation (avoid them) because they really don't care about you and what you are going through.

Hang in there. If laundry hangs around the house a little longer than normal- who cares. Otherwise suck it up and bite that prideful lip and ask for some cleaning help. I would be willing to bet that your family will be there to rally for you.

Nothing is more important than your health and family. We need you to stay healthy. Especially, your kids and hubby.I would be willing to go to bat and kick some serious ass for you. I got your back.
I love you- Kimmy

Hey sweetie..... just always know that we will do whatever we can to lift you up. I know all to well the road that you have to travel ~ I pray that all who love you can understand & be supportive. I also know that you are stronger than you realize and will make the best of what life hands you. I am and do pray for you every day. Your worst enemy is stress and setting healthy boundries for your own good will probably be your biggest challenge. Not the disease. You are and will be in my heart forever .... I love you more than life itself.
