Treatment...

So, I pulled out my first dose of Avonex this morning (it stays refrigerated until I need it, then it has to come to room temperature) and will start my treatment this evening. I will be getting a visit from a nurse around 7:00 and she will answer any questions Max and I have and model how to give the injection and then I will have to give it to myself. I am not so nervous about the shot itself, because that doesn't bother so much as how this new medication will affect me. Most common are flu like symptoms for about one day. That's why we are doing it at night in hopes I can sleep through most of it. Then, I just pray I don't experience any of the more serious side effects. Say a prayer for me. I'll let you know how it goes.
