NVMC @ Hollister

We had a great weekend camping at Hollister with NVMC. They are a great group of families we love to ride, camp and play with. There are several families that have children the same age as ours, so they always have plenty of friends to play with.
Max and several other members headed out to the motocross track for the first ever NVMC members race. They went two rounds. The first round Max took 1st place and the second round he took second place. The guys had a great time.

The kids enjoyed riding bikes and playing Frisbee with the dogs.

We took a great hike through the hills. Several beautiful trails with bridges and creeks.

The kids got their feet wet playing in the icy cold creek.

Luke was resourceful when he was thirsty and wanted a drink.

Shamrock had such fun playing with the big dogs and plenty of wide open space to run around.

Max and Colin relaxing by the fire after a long fun day of riding.

Hollister is an awesome place to ride when you are a beginner. There were a couple of kiddie tracks great for Colin.

They also had some really great trails that weren't to difficult. Max, Colin and I enjoyed several family rides. We probably got about 15+ miles of riding in together. Max is an excellent rider, so he was sweet to take Colin and I out on a much more tame ride. He is a great teacher and very patient with Colin and I as we are learning. He is always encouraging and builds my confidence.
We enjoyed an evening of "Apps and Ale" with the crew on Saturday night.
I can't say it enough what a great feeling we have camping with these people. They are all so down to earth, friendly and fun, a truly great group.
On the ride home we were all so tuckered out. The kids were asleep in the backseat and the dogs snuggled up together in the front. We stopped half way home to relax and get a bite to eat, stretch our legs and walk the dogs.
Along the way Luke was ready to go back for more. I told him until next time, which is only three weeks away. We actually have two trips planned next month.

Ok all pics are totally cute. I love the pic of you riding sis'. Looks so much fun. It would be nice to do that with you both before we are all too old. That last pic is so sweet. Ah, little Meeko (sp?). You are so precious. Hard to believe our weiner dogs are so old. when I think about it I get heartsick.

Thanks Kimmie,
It is so much fun, you would love it. I can't believe he will be 12 this year.
