Father's Day!

For Father's Day this year my cousin Sally, her hubby Josh and kids joined us for a couple of days in Pine Grove at the Gold Country Campground.

There was so much to do and so little time, so we took advantage of every minute and squeezed in all the fun.

First up was the Spray Park which the kiddos loved. What a cool idea for a campground!

The look on Colin's face tells the whole story of how much fun we all had.

The water was seriously cold, so the grown ups opted out...except for Josh. He had fun with the kids. Luke and Ava only wanted to be mildly wet versus, Madi, Colin and Wyatt who were soaked.
What a great way to cool off!

All five sun bathing. It was the perfect temperature all weekend. Never needed jeans or sweatshirts, not even at night.

Max and his "Tweety Bird" swimming in the pool.

Wyatt and Luke playing water Frisbee.

Ava while she, Shamrock and I were exploring one of the nature trails.

Max playing baseball with the kids.

Which stay tuned because both Luke and Colin are playing ball this summer and Max and I will be coaching Colin's team. So I am sure we will have lots to share.

Josh encouraging Ava to give it a try.

Max getting ready to BBQ dinner.

The campground had miniature golf. First Madi and Colin road their bikes down and played 18 holes on their own and then we all went on our last day before heading home.

Watching all the kids put was a hoot. Most of them were putting like they were playing croquet. Ava just gave up all together on the idea of needing a golf club and decided bowling with the golf ball would give her better results.

Or just using the putter to push it along. By whatever means necessary. We obviously played with no rules. Heck they didn't even follow the numbers in order. Just chose which ones looked the best. We left the campground with tears (didn't want to go home),

lots of treasures in our pockets (that I found before bath time),

Luke with a mild case of Poison Oak (which thanks to Aunt Debi we have the Teknu to treat it),

and a very skinned knee. Poor LJ scrubbed this knee at least 4 times. It is so soar now. No matter, he still had a great time and didn't want to leave. That's a real trooper. Another trip planned for next month and we can't wait. Until then, Max, the kids and I will stay busy with work, coaching, playing ball and dance lessons. Not a moments rest with three busy kids. I wouldn't trade this for anything in the world.

So, Happy Father's Day to Max, Dad, Grandpa Hodson, Grandpa Brown and Keith. I hope your day was blessed with wonderful memories. We love you all!
