Farm Stand

Today the kids and I went out to our favorite local farm stand to pick up some veggies and fruit.

They added a children's garden and animals this season, so it makes for a fun place to visit and support the local growers.
Ava just loves this little goat and she was so sweet and friendly. Ava wanted to bring her home. I told her we couldn't, but we'll have to talk with Aunt Debi.

Brooklynn with the mama goat.

They have a sweet little cutting garden with Sunflowers, Gerber Daisies and Cosmos. Each of the kids picked their own flowers for an arrangement at home and to take home to their parents.

In the children's garden they had raised beds with carrots and green beans. They allowed each of the kids to harvest a carrot and take home. They picked green beans and feed them to the 29 chickens they had in the coop. They have a really great selection and sell the eggs.

I thought the green bean teepee's made from branches were so clever.

The kids enjoyed pulling their own carrots. It's like a big surprise.

They also sell local hand made products (yard art, honey, lotions and soaps from goats milk). Along with several hand made scarecrows. Colin was intrigued with the lady in the rocker and

I loved this big burlap chicken.

Our carrots, onions, corn, potatoes, and flowers. We loved all their new editions this season and can't wait to see what else they add. It is such a friendly place to visit and we always come home with yummy treats and pretty flowers for the house.
