May Madness

May, yet another month that is jammed packed with school activities, holidays, new experiences and milestones.
We enjoyed our friends and their kids at Cooper's Family Movie Night.  We watched Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked! It was a fun night.  We brought our blankets and pillows, drinks and snacks, they also served popcorn and bottles of water!
I joined Colin for Mornings with Mom.  My Aunt Debi watched the twins so it was just he and I.  We arrived to school early for muffins, juice and coffee served by a few volunteer dads.  The event was put on by our PTO!  We are so blessed with such a great school.
Later the same day I also enjoyed the sweetest, most heartfelt Mother's Day Tea at PEP with Luke and Ava.  Again, my Aunt picked up Colin this time so I could enjoy the afternoon with the twins.  A week prior to the tea they came home with the sweetest Ladybug invitations cordially inviting us to tea.
As I entered the social hall it was decorated like a Spring Garden Tea.  A placemat with hand print butterflies, caterpillars from their toes and name cards at each place setting.  I had a paper flower with their pictures to wear as a corsage.
Centerpieces of Wheat Grass and flower stakes with their pictures.  Cucumber tea sandwiches, muffins, fresh fruit, juice, coffee and tea the children all helped to make were served.
Large paper and fabric trees in the corners surrounded with flowers, sunflowers, hanging egg pinatas and hand print snails.
Luke enjoying the yummies he helped make!
Ava also enjoying the yummies she helped make.  The kids performed a Mother's Day song and several others.
At the end of the tea they presented us with gifts.  These precious hand painted birdhouses
inside the thumbprint garden art bags.
It was such a memorable afternoon.  One that I will always treasure.
My Mother's Day gift
and Max's (early) Father's Day gift.  We have gotten into a really great habit of taking the kids on a ride every night after work.  Now that they all have their training wheels off we get around easier.  We are up to about 2 miles a night and they love it.  Hopefully as time passes the mileage will continue to increase.  The kids love it, it's great exercise and we are doing it as a family.  Awesome!  Another milestone achieved this month will be the completion of preschool for the twins, but more to come on that later.  They were very excited to have completed their Kindergarten Assessments.  We were also blessed to get the news that their Intradistrict Transfer was accepted, so they will attend Cooper in the fall with their big brother.  I am so relieved and excited for them.
