After hanging all the cranberry garland on our family tree the kids wanted some garland for their little tree.
With much searching in the art supply closet (which by the way needs a major overhaul) for materials that would make a colorful and easy to assemble garland, we chose chenille pipe cleaners. I thought they would also stand up better than paper with this hands on group of kids.
I cut each pipe cleaner in half and we started making small circles, twisting the ends together after linking them one by one. We each worked on a set individually and then linked all of them together to make one long strand. It was clever, easy and colorful. The kids were happy with the end results.
