PEP Christmas Program

Today was Luke and Ava's Christmas Program at preschool.  I stayed up last night making 2 dozen Candy Cane Twister cookies for after their program.  They were a big hit.
While waiting for the program to begin they were showing a slide show of the kids.

They came marching in wearing star crowns that said Happy Birthday Jesus and they were adorned with multi-colored star jewels.  A great selection of Christmas songs and dances were performed by this sweet little group.
A quick photo op after their program with a giant puppet from Christmas Spectacular.
While we were enjoying refreshments in the social hall the kids received a special visit from Santa.  They were hesitant at first, but quickly settled right in and had no problem rattling off several wish list requests.
After the program Luke and Ava presented me (and Max) with these hand painted (dipped) cans with ornaments inside that had a school picture attached. It was such a special program.

It sadly dawned on me that this was our last preschool Christmas program, so the event was bitter sweet. My babies are growing up faster than I want them to.  We will be registering them for Kindergarten before we know it.  I treasure the holiday season when they are little because it is so magical and exciting.
