Our prayers have been answered. My new niece, Alison (6 weeks old) came down with a cold and it very quickly became very serious. At her doctor appointment on Monday morning she tested positive for RSV which had turned into pneumonia. She was taken via ambulance from their local military doctor to a children's hospital a couple of hours away. My sister and husband have been with her every moment. She was receiving oxygen, IV fluids and suctioning every 2 hours to clear her lungs. She was having difficulty hydrating on her own, thus the IV fluids. They have now been there going on three days. My mom was able to get a flight out yesterday to help with the twins and hold down the fort at home. She is great...she knows where and how Kim runs the house and knows where the girls go to school.
I just got the call from my sister that they unplugged all her tubes and her lungs are clear, so they will be releasing her today. It will still take the next couple of weeks to get her eating back to normal. On the road to a well baby. What a very scary experience. Never ever something a parent wants to go through. It's times like this when it sucks that they are so far away. We are grateful my mom was able to leave on short notice. So, hopefully Ali will be having sweet dreams in her own bed tonight (mommy and daddy too!). Hospital beds and food, not so comfy.

Happy to hear she pulled out of that. That stuff is unpredictable and unoticable until its a hospital stay away. Happy to hear she is on the road to recovery.
It reminded of your hospital stay with your little man. So scary and you are right it is unoticeable and can turn from a little cold into something so much worse really fast.
