A couple of years ago before my dad left for Iraq, Max began customizing his Harley Davidson from it's original white Police look to something more sleek and modern. The past several months he has really pushed to get it done.
Yesterday he added the Rinehart pipes...it's almost done. After redoing the electrical, a new paint job that Max and his buddy Marshal did, a new front farering and touring pack, and more... he is just waiting for some custom pin stripping to be done. He took it out for spin yesterday morning for awhile.
After he came home we packed up all our swim stuff, a macaroni salad, fruit salad and brownies I made to take to my aunt's house for some swimming and BBQ.
The kids have been slow to pick up swimming. Colin is swimming on his own now, but not quit comfortable going under water.

Ava loves the water and has more confidence trying new things and putting her face in. Luke is very nervous and frets quit a bit. My dad was working with him, but Luke just couldn't relax. I think I might look into finding a swim instructor that can come to my aunt's and teach just our kids how to swim a few days a week this summer. After swimming we enjoyed a yummy dinner. Dad and Max BBQ'd tri-tip that was delicious. After dessert we could see the fireworks from the back patio. We could actually see some of our town's fireworks and Winters at the same time. Another relaxing and fun day!
