Baseball Camp

Colin has been busy enjoy Baseball Camp with the Bulldogs Baseball Club this Fall Break.  It was a nice way to get him out of the house and keep him busy.  He has a lot of energy, so what better way to spend his day then playing ball and meeting new kids.
The first day was kicked off by the coaches introducing the kids to Jeff Marquez a MLB player that was recently traded from the Yankees to the Mariners.  The kids seemed pretty excited with his visit. There were many adult coaches divided among the four age groups and then high school baseball players helped assist.
Each of the kids got a t-shirt and lunch was provided both days.
The first day was mostly focused on fielding, catching and throwing.  The coaches moved the kids around a lot to let them try new positions.
The second day focused on hitting and a scrimmage game.
At the conclusion, the kids gathered together and recapped some of what they learned
and then the parent volunteers of the program served hot chocolate.  What a great program, well organized and lots of fun.  He has to be 8 to join, so we'll revisit this next year.  But, for now Little League sign-ups are in two weeks for next season.
