Today was simply an all around beautiful day. Not only was the weather perfect, but it was a day spent having fun as family and relaxing.
Max and I took the kids and Shamrock to the Silveyville Pumpkin Patch to pick out our family pumpkins. The twins loaded up in the wagon and Colin gave them a ride around the farm. As soon as we walked in, the owners dog, Fefer saw Shamrock from a distance and came running over as if they were long lost friends. It was so cute! Fefer's companion, Trio was recovering from a spinal cord injury, so we were welcomed inside the shop by the owner to see her. She perked right up. Aussies are such wonderful dogs. The owner thanked us for coming and bringing Shamrock with us. We'll check back around Christmas and pray she is up and running the farm soon.
We headed out to the pumpkin patch to find all the vines green and filled with really big pumpkins. It was an awesome selection.
The kids have one rule to follow and that is they have to be able to pick up and carry the pumpkin back to the wagon in order to take it home.
So, the hunt is on.
Even Max really gets into finding the "perfect pumpkin." He found a nice big Mama and Papa pumpkin to carve.
After all the pumpkins were loaded up we headed back for some fun activities before it was time to leave.
Each of the kids measured themselves.
Colin was 47 inches.
Luke was 44 inches.
Ava was 41 inches.
The kids were amazed by the biggest pumpkin at the farm.
It was pretty spectacular. I always wonder how they can grow a pumpkin that large. Maybe they sprinkle it with Holy Water or something.
We all enjoyed a tractor pulled wagon ride. Even Shamrock jumped on board. He tried to bale once he saw the ponies.
A quick chance for a Fall family photo before we headed home. We dropped off Shamrock and the pumpkins and took the kids to Red Robin, Yummmm! for lunch. You have to say the name just like on the commercial. lol After lunch we checked out the end of the Mustang Days air show at the airport. Some really cool planes were still on display when we got there and a few were taking off and landing.
Max and the kids next to a German war plane.
Many of the planes had the most amazing paint jobs and themes. Max was really impressed with this eagle, a lot of time was put into it.
This plane, which we weren't quit sure what it was called was the favo, rite of the kids. We all thought it looked like a big flying bug. After our days big adventure we had to make a quick trip to the store and ended up getting the newest Transformers movie for a family movie night. The movie was awesome, but the whole day was the best. I love my family, the time we spend together and the special memories we create.

Hi Kristin! I found this quite by accident, LOL...I was looking up the Silveyville pumpkin patch and saw this listing so I clicked on it too, just to be surprised to see familiar faces ;) I hope all is well with all of you! The kids sure have grown since we saw them last for some event at Jason and Jessica's...Take care, Gwen <3
