Trick or Treat

Today was a fun Halloween jumping back and forth between the kids schools for all the fun festivities.  The morning started off by attending Colin's school parade.
After that the kids and I headed home to finish putting the holiday treats and goodie bags together for the school parties in the afternoon.
Luke and Ava, our black cat and boxer were very excited for their upcoming class parade and party.
Their PEP school class paraded around the church for all the families and church staff to see.
In the courtyard they performed several Halloween songs for the audience to enjoy.
After their performance they finished their parade around the church and school grounds then headed inside for an afternoon of yummy treats and games.
I left their celebration to join Colin's class and drop of the snacks and goodie bags we made.  I love being able to participate and help out whenever I can.
It was a warm day so the costumes didn't stay on for to long.  After school, Colin's friend Ty came home with us.  They were super great about finishing their homework so they could enjoy their evening.  We enjoyed the Halloween cupcakes I made earlier in the day before heading out to pick up the twins from school.
The kids and I got the house all picked up when we came home and then we went to pick up a quick Jack-o-lantern pizza from Papa Murphy's along with little personal pizzas they were passing out to kids in costume for free.  So that was a special treat.  Something we do each year.  It makes for an easy and quick dinner so we can get down to business and enjoy the night.
Shamrock put on his award winning Cow costume to go trick or treating with the kiddos.
They ended their evening with dumping out their loot and dad gave it the once over.  They each picked one piece to enjoy before it was time to brush their teeth, read and go to bed.  They are so great about sharing.  Once the candy is sorted it all goes into one big bag they share.  No questions, no arguing, it's really great!  They are all snug in their beds after a great day and I am going to finish up grading papers for Colin's teacher.  Now onto Thanksgiving.  I can't believe the holiday's are fast approaching.
