The kids enjoyed their time at the Gymnastics Zone for our friend Jackie's little girl, Sophia's 3rd birthday.
The boys loved the ropes.
Not necessarily climbing to ring the bell, but swinging like monkeys.
Ava was in her element and was all over the place and tried everything. The vault, trampoline, balance beam and bars. She had a blast.
The foam pit was also fun, even I enjoyed this one. Almost no way to get hurt. After they had plenty of time to play they headed up stairs for snacks, cupcakes and ice cream.
Early in December Max's boss and his wife gave us all tickets for Napa Ice, an outdoor ice skating rink. Between all of us being sick and the holiday's we finally had time today to enjoy the rink before it closes. I wish I had more pictures to share (camera battery died) because watching the kids ice skate for the first time was priceless. I was only able to catch a photo of how little Ava's skates looked. I was shocked at how well they did, even though they hugged the wall the majority of the time. I believe Ava's roller skating the day before helped her. Luke looked like a baby deer learning to walk on ice. We were all in stitches...he was cracking us up. I lost track at how many times he went down doing the splits. He stuck with it though and said it only got one thumbs up, not two. Colin had a blast, hung in there and did better if we didn't try and help him. Max and I were just proud that neither of us fell down and we actually remembered what to do. Neither of us have skated since we were kids.
