Pirates, Green Eggs, One Fish, Two Fish!

Friday was a busy and fun day for the kids.  It was Pirate Day at preschool.  Ava had fun rummaging around her room for things to dress up as "her" version of a pirate.  I love her clip on earrings the most.  I wasn't surprised when Luke wasn't interested in dressing up.  It's not really his cup of tea, unless it's Halloween.
It was also Dr. Seuss's Birthday, so I woke up early and made green (hard boiled) eggs.  My kids love them in their lunches and for snacks.  Just a silly surprise for their lunch in honor of Green Eggs and Ham!
Half of the fun is peeling them.
We also read our favorite Dr. Seuss book, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish
Luke, Ava and Zoe painted fish bowls with blue tinted corn syrup, then they added different colored fish cut out of construction paper.  Since corn syrup is sticky and won't really dry, we place a piece of plastic wrap on top cutting around the edges.
They were the perfect size to slip into a Ziploc baggie for added protection.  They turned out really cool.
Happy Birthday to Dr. Seuss!
